Darrin J. says, "Jordan did an amazing job landscaping the front flowerbeds of my house and the entire back area of my house. He also came up with a solution to a water drainage issue I was having and incorporated it into a beautiful landscaping job. Not only was he an excellent landscaper and hard worker, he also was able to wire up my light post and do several other things while he was around (he sold things on marketplace for me because I was selling my house and moving, he helped me move things to storage, and he power washed my patios and sidewalks). Jordan is a very friendly guy and VERY fair and always willing to negotiate price. He really does care about his work and his customers!"See more

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is the best waterproof flooring for a basement?

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.
