Photo Booth Rental
"Instant Match saves me a lot of money. I only pay when the customer reaches out."
Here’s how to stand out with Instant Match.
Get your settings right.
Set your job preferences and prices to get matched with the right customers. You can adjust them anytime.
Polish your profile.
It’s the first thing customers look at. Make sure you have lots of reviews, great photos, and a strong introduction.
Set the right budget for you.
Your weekly budget estimates how many customers can contact you. You’ll never spend more than the amount you set.
Respond to messages fast.
No more worrying about requests. But when a customer contacts you, you should respond quickly to win the job.
Questions? Fire away.
To match you with the right customers, we ask where you want to work, what kinds of work you can do, and what jobs you prefer. You also give us very detailed info about what you charge, so we can create an accurate estimate for every customer’s request.
No. You can still send your quotes manually – the customer will just see Instant Match pros first. But keep in mind, with Thumbtack moving toward a more instant experience for customers, setting up Instant Match will put you at an advantage.
Setting up Instant Match is going to put you at an advantage.
You’ll set a weekly budget for each service you provide. You’ll never spend more than what you set – in fact, you might even spend less. And if you do hit your weekly limit, we’ll notify you and pause Instant Match until the next Monday.
If you want us to keep quoting for you after you hit your limit, you can increase your budget.
With Instant Match turned on, you’ll only pay when a customer:
Sends you their first message
Schedules a call or appointment
Marks you as hired
You can only be charged once per customer request, so even if someone messages you, then schedules an appointment, and then hires you, you just pay for that first time they reach out. We don’t charge commission or subscription fees.
It depends. You can check the budget tool for each service to get a better idea of the dollar amount you pay when a customer contacts you. You can also check how much you’ve spent in your settings.
Keep in mind that since they’re more likely to turn into paying customers, each contact is more expensive than the cost per quote. But since quoting is now free, it often evens out.
Yes. Once a customer gets in touch, the ball is in your court and it’s up to you to close the deal. Which is what you do best.
That said, if the customer’s first message is a “no thanks” and that’s it, you won’t be charged.
You won’t get notified of new requests that Instant Match has already sent a quote for. Which mean you’ll get a lot fewer emails and notifications.
You will, however, get notifications when a new customer contacts you or if you’re about to hit the budget you’ve set. That’s when you need to act fast – either respond to the customer or increase your budget.
You might also still get requests for jobs that don’t fit in your Instant Match settings, but we thought you might be interested in. You can manually send quotes for those jobs if you want.
