Introduction: My experience as a hiring manager, serving on hiring committees, and editing make us a good fit if you're looking for resume help. Looking for web/marketing writing? Technical writing? I currently work in Marketing and IT in an engineering-related field. My undergraduate work was focused on physics as well as communication. I love communication and technical applications of it--which gives me a perspective on hiring in both creative and technical fields. Working in both higher education and corporate settings, my 15+ years of experience ranges from writing and editing for both web and print publications to managing a team to fully redevelop websites and intranets. I've edited websites large and small, developed social media editorial calendars, written blog posts for SEO, and edited an engineering technical manual. My quotes generally include 30 minutes on phone/Skype/Google Hangout to get an idea of what your goals are for a particular piece. Goals, messaging, medium, audience are all important before diving into any writing or editing project. I like looking at a project holistically before diving in to edit or write. What is the purpose of the piece? Goals? Audience? Medium to be published? All of these big-picture aspects of a project drive the finer details in writing and editing.
