John has done work for me on 2 projects I've had. One he refinished a bathroom for me. He built a walk in shower with tile and a sliding glass door. Also tiled the floor and put in all new vanity and toilet. Turned out fantastic. Get complements all the time. Second project was updating a kitchen with new ceiling and lighting. He does great work and not too expensive. PJ

Working with John was an absolute pleasure. He's friendly and very open to hearing what I really wanted. He worked with me hand in hand with everything from the purchasing to the installation. He was very professional and always available to answer questions even when he wasn't on site. I've been trying to remodel my kitchen and bath for years and just never got around to it. I finally found someone with an amazing talent that didn't cost me a fortune. I would recommend him to all my friends. I couldn't be happier with the end result. Thanks again John. You were great!!

Most of the experience with Miller Contracting was good. John and his assistant were both personable. I contacted him to clean my gutters, but I didn't mean immediately, as I was just planning to get on the schedule for May. (Plus he is based a distance from my home, so I thought he'd group his appointments in my area.) He chose to come on a very cold day when the leaves were partly frozen into the gutters. I was concerned for his safety and for that of his helper due to icy conditions. I misinterpreted the question about how many gutters there were to be cleaned. I meant, 1 house. But the question was asking how many SECTIONS of gutters. John was kind enough to reduce his usual price, but even with the reduction, I paid $60 more than I did in May 2016 to clean the gutters. John asked if I wanted the driveway grate cleaned out, but I declined. When I went out that evening after dark, I saw that the grates had been removed and were left lying in the driveway. Last year when I had the corner of our gutters caulked because of dripping, the company insisted on waiting for a dry day and dry gutters. John caulked in frigid wet conditions. Two weeks later when we had a mild day, I saw the corners were still leaking. And there is now a section of straight gutter that never leaked before that is dripping . Hopefully the gutters were not damaged. Bottom line, next year I will wait until spring for gutter cleaning. I take responsibility for agreeing to make the appointment. I'm sure under appropriate weather conditions I would have given Miller Contracting a much higher rating.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, being my background is in many trades I have a standard pricing system put in place so that the customer gets great rates and I am still able to grow my business.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak with them over the phone first and make sure we are both on the same page as far as what the task entails. then we will discuss pricing and if they are comfortable at this time we will talk further about my experience. Finally, if the customer has "checked all boxes" (questions and concerns) we will move forward with getting the job completed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
schooling for the HVAC at Penn Commercial. the construction aspect I was taught from the ground level and worked with many top notch teachers and carpenters.
