Pete Buechle, founder and owner of Woodsmith Construction, has done numerous residential and commercial jobs for my company. He brings a sense of true professionalism to every project he takes on. Peter himself is an exceptional craftsman and finished carpenter in additional to his keen, well-rounded general construction and renovation skills. His pricing is fair, he's a straight shooter, his job sites are neat and clean, he's always on-time or early to the job, he returns calls and texts in a timely manner and is extremely trustworthy. Pete has a "can do" approach to construction but he'll also tell you what you can or can't do and what you should or shouldn't do. Peter takes pride in his good business, design and construction sense and uses his years of experience to guide his clients into making wise budgetary decisions for their construction projects. One of the best contractors I have ever met. He consistently exceeds my expectations for excellence in his field.

We've used Woodsmith Construction for several renovations over the past ten years always with outstanding results. They have renovated our kitchen and our master bath, reconstructed our back entry after water damage, constructed built-ins in our family room, re-framed windows in the front of our house, constructed a custom pantry, and primed the re-roofing of our house. Peter is first person I call whenever we consider making improvements to the house.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Some projects can be priced based on a Square foot price. However, detailed projects require a significant amount of estimate time to come to a final job cost.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try and get as much information on the project as possible right from the start. This way, I have a better understanding of what we will be looking at. I always come out for a free consultation. Larger complex projects require a design build-contract, where I typically offer several revisions/meetings, a budget range is always required for projects of that scale. Smaller projects can usually be given rough numbers on the first consultation, and we move forward based on this. We offer full welcome folders with all pertinent information upon approval of proposal. The job is scheduled and moves right along from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The owner Peter has been in this field his entire adult life. He spent early years working with several different people from different areas of the industry, from Interior designers to house framers. He excels in detail oriented work and management.
