    About this pro

New England based fine art wedding, family, and portrait photographer. I'm a storyteller at heart and I LOVE to create soft, dreamy, playful photographs. I adore working with yummy natural light and producing thoughtful, conceptual, fine-art portraits. I am deeply inspired by the opportunity I have to share my clients' special moments, capture their joy, and explore their unique and beautiful worlds through my lens. My Philosophy: A picture becomes a photograph once it begins to tell the story of it's subject. A story as impactful as it is emotional, a story that is vivid, bright, and alive. It's my honor to explore these stories with my clients, and capture their memories as we create timeless, often effortless reminders of love, family, and life. I am here as my clients' biggest fan and advocate. It's my honor to capture all of the joy, tears, love, and laughter that can happen at their weddings, proposals, family sessions, and even portrait shoots! My Approach: I approach every shoot with the goal of capturing heartfelt, sincere moments that leave my clients feeling warm and fuzzy for years to come. Portrait and family sessions are oftentimes playful - full of laughter, fun, and adventure! I LOVE to shoot outdoors when the light is dramatic and engaging, right after sunrise or before sunset. Prior to the shoot, I work with all of my clients on their vision, what to expect, and how to prepare. After the shoot, I treat post production with just as much thought and care as I do the actual sessions. I do all of the editing in-house and love to watch my client's photos transform into vivid portraits or kinetic, emotional backdrops of a moment in time. My Promise To You: Bright, dreamy photographs that you will cherish for years to come A joyful, loving photo shoot that will leave your belly aching from laughter Ease and comfortability in front of my camera Rapid, responsive turnaround and client revisions (24-hr turnaround avail. on request!) High-end retouching & color correction that result in stunning, timeless photographs Flexibility to meet and exceed all of your needs, whilst navigating the hectic time-lines and large shot lists that typically accompany weddings, events, and commercial projects "My favorite part of the job is something I never would have expected - my wide range of clients! The most compelling thing about being a freelance photographer is the diversity in subject. I love interacting with so many different people, places, and subject matters - it creates a never ending well of curiosity and excitement that without a doubt translates into the magic found in the photos." --- Amanda started her career as a Marketing & Communications Manager in the Entertainment, IT and Architecture worlds. She moved around a bit, because although she loved to tell stories - and was telling them - she hadn't yet found her niche. In 2010, she began to work as a photographer capturing live music, famous musicians, nightlife, and festivals. After a few years of touring consistently Amanda began to work one-on-one with a well known hip hop artist. It was then that her work began to flourish, blurring the lines between documentary and thoughtful, fine-art portraiture photography. She was finally telling stories the way she was always meant to. Although she still goes out on tour, these days Amanda works primarily with families, pets, couples, and business owners in and around the New England area. She absolutely loves capturing growth, happiness, and love. Moreover, Amanda loves the fact that she gets to work with and photograph all sorts of people, places, and things. It keeps her inspired, her perspective fresh, and her photos bright and happy!

      Q & A

      • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I like to do is get to know my customers, and I find that the best way to do this is by having a phone conversation. In this conversation we can exchange all of the important information we'd need in order to move forward with our photoshoot. This also helps with that first time we meet, which is oftentimes the same time we have the shoot! If that's not possible, I'll send the client that info: including information on what to expect before, during, and after the shoot, deliverables, terms, a proposal of packages / a quote, and any questions I may have in order to plan properly for the shoot. Once onsite we can get to know each other and then I can calmly guide you through the posing process.
      • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self-taught photographer of over 7 years, specializing in event, family, and high concept art photography.
      • How did you get started doing this type of work?
My background is in live concert photography, as I worked for over 5 years as a traveling photojournalist. I eventually began to spend more time off the road, producing studio shoots such as portraiture, family, culinary, and product photography.
