- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our rates and services include: $20 for 20-minute visit $25 for 30-minute visit $65 for overnight stay We send invoices via Precise Petcare software, payments are due before the first visit for vacation visits.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After an initial phone conversation, we arrange a meet and greet where we can meet the client and cats in person. We go over the pets' routines, food, water, litter boxes, playing equipment, etc. We also review any medical, behavioral, or safety concerns the client may have at this time. Once done with the visit, we take any new information and enter it into our software along with the schedule so the clients can double check what we have in place for them. We touch base right before the first visit begins and then send regular updates via text or email after each visit.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I taught in the private schools for years and sat for the families' pets on occasion. My neighbor had a professional pet-sitting business and she also took care of my own dog at the time. I got her work with my students' families and then I often helped her with these visits. Eventually I decided to make it a full time business so I could help more people. more families, and more pets. After four years of running a full time, full-service pet sitting company, I am excited to start a more focused niche with this cat-sitting business!
