FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally speaking, there is a 25% or 50% deposit before the project begins. Somewhere in the middle of the project, there is occasionally another 25%, and then upon delivery of the work the rest is paid.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Chatting via email, phone, or video messaging is always a great first step. After a pre-production meeting in which the new client tells me their vision, mission, and ideas, I will put together documents that outline the scope of the project. I tailor everything to their needs and budget and include any information about outsourcing that may be required. After that, we have another meeting to begin production and creative design. Once the ball gets rolling, it is up to the client on how involved they want to be - if they want to check in once a day they are free to do so, or they can leave it to me to work and only receive updates on certain dates/milestones.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA degree from SAE Expression College (San Francisco Bay Area, California), constant training from Lynda.com, professional experience as a freelancer for Stanford University, REL West, SLOMA, and more.
