I started working with Andreas because I wanted to be more intentional with my budgeting / finances (I know, I know... I'm MUCH better with everyone else's numbers than my own!). My biggest takeaways were re-establishing my financial priorities and having tangible action steps after each meeting. Once we dug in to my values and long term goals, my financial to-dos changed from those that I'd started with. I realized that I was already doing some of the things I felt guilty about not doing "enough" of. It turns out that I had never stopped to think about what "enough" meant until we got to talking. I was able to let go of that guilt and refocus my energry toward accomplishing newer and more meaningful goals. I have to admit I was hesitant to start the program because I'm pretty analytical and it emphasizes not just budgeting/finances but emotions, behaviors, and habits. Andreas is a delightful Financial Coach who creates both fiscal ease and effervescent joy. While working with him, I not only managed to come up with $15K in six months to pay my taxes but also began to feel strangely enthusiastic about managing my budget. To top it all off, he embraced the magenta font I used for spreadsheets. One of the things I appreciated most about his approach was his willingness to listen to what I value and help me mold my spending to reflect these values. I never felt that he was judging my choices, only that he wanted to make sure my behaviors were in line with what I claimed was important to me. Every time I talk with Andreas, I come away feeling that he has seen a deeper quality in me, appreciating something that others don’t understand about me. I thank him again for that. Ultimately, Andreas got me to a place where I felt like I had action items that made sense for me. When I started working with Carla, I was working 70+ hours every week, traveling 80% of the time, and spent little time on ‘me.’ I was lost as to how to have more in my life than work.
