I have over 20 years of experience as a Notary Public and have worked with individuals and companies notarizing all legal documents, including among others: power of attorney, wills, loan documents, affidavits, etc. Please read my reviews- you will be very satisfied with my services! I’m a professional and experienced Wedding Officiant and ordained minister who performs non-denominational and non-religious weddings and vow renewals, to join you and the one you love in legal matrimony. My fee includes writing a ceremony with readings of your choice, (I have a binder full of readings for you to choose from) and choice of vows or help writing vows. You will receive a written draft of the ceremony prior to your wedding and have final approval on everything in it. Every guest will compliment you on how beautiful the ceremony was! In addition, my fee includes filling out the marriage license and sending it to the clerk's office certified, return receipt requested. I usually meet my couples at a locally convenient Panera Bread location or we can talk on the phone or FaceTime. My (now!) husband and I made a very last minute decision to keep our original wedding date instead of cancelling or postponing during the COVID pandemic, and chose to find a way to swing a live-streamed virtual ceremony from the safely-quarantined setting of our back yard. Matt reached out to us during our search for a last-minute officiant during the stay-home orders about a week before our intended ceremony date. He was super responsive, met with us on video chat within 24 hours of first contact, and provided constant communication in the days leading up to our event with any updates, questions, and guidance. Not only did he help guide us to plan a personalized, meaningful, true-to-us ceremony with about a week's notice (omg), but he was incredibly flexible with our shuffling of plans, and also was there every step of the way to make sure we had checked off all those necessary behind-the-scenes steps to move forward with our day from a logistics perspective. We felt reassured and confident that things would run smoothly having him in our corner. We've received endless complements and kind words from our loved ones that viewed our ceremony on youtube, and couldn't have asked for a better sport as we hooked him up with microphones, dealt with technical snafus, and danced through the chaos of last-minute, socially-distanced planning. I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone searching for a wedding officiant that offers incredibly flexible and personalized services, especially during these uncertain circumstances. Todd and I are so grateful that Matt was our wedding officiant. He was very professional and contacted me when it was time to send him what was needed. He was also very patient with us both. At the rehearsal, Todd and I joked and laughed a lot because we knew that all eyes would be on us the day of and Matt helped put us at ease and gave us some helpful and much needed advice and tips. For the ceremony, he provided us with so many options and even though we wanted it short and sweet, he made it beautiful and perfect! My fee depends on the location of the ceremony, amount of customization required, and whether there will be a rehearsal.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I have an in person or phone consult with my couples to determine what exactly they would like included in their ceremonies and secure basic information about the venue, who will be included in the ceremony, and any special requests. I also go over the marriage license procedures and what is required to secure a license from a city or town clerk.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a creative writer, public speaker, and ordained minister. I enjoy developing and conducting beautiful wedding ceremonies for my couples. I have a masters degree in business and a bachelors degree in economics.
