FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm still working on that one. Everything is individual, depending on the types of recordings they send me. MP3 is preferred. A good ball-park would be from $400 - $800 for transcribing a 90 minute audio, but again, everything is individualistic!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every customer is unique and is an individual with individual specialized wants and needs. Every customer is treated on an individual basis
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As far as transcriptions & transcriptioning, I never actually had any training as such, but having been a high-tech electrical contractor for many years, used to working with and always insisting upon "the best & right tools for the job - if specialized tools are required, to increase job quality and ultimately customer satisfaction - specialized tools are procured! I started transcribing meeting for a food pantry I was a volunteer for and discovered the transcription tool "Dragon Naturally Speaking" which was quite expensive, particularly when I wasn't getting paid, but I could transcribe a 1 hour meeting / 30 pages of typewritten transcript in one day! Basically 99% right "outa the box."
