Jack Honeycutt, AJ's Masonry, responded immediately after I posted a request on Thumbtack for a brick mason to repair a brick wall. He gave us a very fair price and did an excellent job, and even went above and beyond by making an extra trip to our house to cover the damaged wall prior to a major snow storm.

My front steps (concrete) needed major repair due to house settling and weather damage. I contacted Jack and sent him some pictures of the damage. He offered several suggestions for possible repair, along with pros and cons. He was very patient and answered all of my questions before we settled on putting stone over the existing concrete. Jack and his helper did a fabulous job which took about 3 and a half days. My new steps are beautiful to look and very well installed. Everything about the job went well. Jack and his colleague showed up exactly as scheduled, got the job done on time, and cleaned up the site. The price was very reasonable. I very highly recommend Jack. I have already asked him to do some other work at my house. He really is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with.

Aj came out and unfortunately we have a stick built chimney, not masonry under the stucco. He was honest and fair and helped recommend the right contractor. He was quick and very courteous. I wish we could have used him, he was wonderful.

Jack was very responsive in answering my questions. I appreciated that he could give me an estimate from looking at pictures that I took of our front steps that badly needed repair of mortar (repointing). He arrived when he said he would, and did a good job. Our front steps look so much better. Thank you for your expertise.

Some of my work is by the square foot and some is by the day and some is the old fashon way the gut
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step is to setup a time to meet customer to go over there thoughts and needs next try to give the customer some help with my 30 years of practical experience. The next step is to put a quote in writing for the customer.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I"m a third generation mason contractor its in my blood.
