Introduction: My piano teaching program is designed to teach the musical skills of reading music, listening, rhythm, interpretation and performance, and is designed for students of all ages. My students enjoy the process of learning piano with a mix of structured books, exercises, and games. They are never watching the clock to see when the lesson will end, and they often hate to leave at the end of the lesson. This fits in perfectly with my teaching philosophy, which is to inspire a lifelong love of music through a challenging, but always encouraging and safe process. All lessons are taught in a warm and comfortable home studio in Belleville, NJ, or online via Skype or Zoom. A weekly studio class that features musicianship and theory exercises and student performances is offered as part of the cost of lessons.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a free trial lesson. Otherwise, there are no discounts or fees. I accept payment on a monthly basis, so we don’t have to worry about exchanging money at every lesson.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free trial lesson so we can make sure it’s a great fit for both of us. I’ll assess what experience you’ve already had, if any, and your goals for our work together. Then we’ll start playing right in the first lesson, and you can get a sense of my teaching style. If all goes well, we’ll try to find a time that works for us to meet on a regular basis.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music from Manhattan School of Music, where I studied piano performance and completed a course in pedagogy. I have over 20 years of training, including studies with concert pianist Michelle Kuo and Alexandre Moutouzkine.
