Choosing Jonlaya (Jan) from LUEM Photography as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our special day. I knew after the first email correspondence with her that it was a great fit. We decided to do an engagement shoot as a "trial run" and the experience and the photos were amazing. We kept in touch leading up to the wedding day because the ceremony was outside and rain was on the way. We had a back up plan in motion, but we all were fine with a little wedding in the rain! The ceremony was delayed an hour, so Jan decided to do group photos of the guests who were waiting and everyone loved the photos! My favorite part about the day was that you didn't even know there was a photographer. Jan blended in like one of the guests and just so happened to take amazing photos along the way. Since receiving the finished photos and sharing them with my family, I am getting non stop compliments about the photographer and the photos. (I think all of my Facebook friends now have a LUEM Photography photo as their profile picture! Even a few of them have updated their LinkedIn pictures as well, lol) I would choose Jan as my photographer over and over again and I will definitely reach out to her for future milestone pictures. My fiancé I had a great experience with Jonlaya taking our engagement shoot pictures. She made us feel so comfortable and was able to capture both the intimate and playful sides of our relationship. She even accommodated taking pictures of our mischievous dog and somehow managed to make the pictures look amazing. We couldn’t be happier with how the photo shoot and the pictures came out! Jonlaya is very friendly, professional, and flexible in scheduling. She even was willing to travel a great distance in the pouring rain for our photo shoot! We highly recommend her and look forward to potentially working with her again in the future!

Absolutely LOVED our wedding photos!! We wanted very candid photos nothing too posed and thats exactly what we received. Working with LUEM photography was so smooth and stress free- especially for such a hot and hectic day. Jonlaya was very flexible and very fun to work with! FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quotes always include time allowed for your portrait session, includes travel to your location of choice, and will include an online gallery, as well as your lightly edited photos given to you via thumb drive. There is no one price fits all for weddings. It should be based on what is needed for your special day and work within your budget. If I had to choose a type of wedding, it would have to be the small and intimate ones...they are always full of personality and I always have more time to interact with the couple and their families. I love being able to take the time to know the couple, and being able to take the time to take photos without the day being too hectic. Please feel free to email or text/call at any time, with any questions that you may have.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start out by emailing out a client questionnaire to get an idea of what style and/or type of photography is being sought. After I have gone through the answers, I usually know if the client and I will make a good fit, which is very important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Self-taught in natural light photography.
