- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally I will charge $50 per job. This would be for basic things like logos, flyers, postcards, invitations, rack cards, forms, letterhead. If a job is more involved, I will quote prices beyond the $50 before any agreements are made.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask for the specific needs of the client, then come up with a communication plan (phone, email, texting, etc). I will then develop an initial idea to present to the client. From there we will communicate any changes needed until the design is completed to the client's approval. I ask for a 50% payment prior to the first proof. All proofs will be presented as low resolution with a watermark to protect my work until fully purchased. The final image/file will be sent in high resolution with no watermark so it will be ready for all printing or web needs. I prefer Payment through Paypal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for a catalog publishing company from 1999-2002 and learned a lot of skills on the job with very high quality demands required from the company. I have also taken a couple of community classes to hone my skills. In the past few years I have been working freelance in my local community and am now seeking more work via the Thumbtack service.
