- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Almost all of my work is customized to the needs of my clients. Each project is priced after a meeting with the client, an evaluation of the existing conditions and a review of what is to be done.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with the client at the job site. Discuss the scope and objectives of the project. Develop a plan on how to move forward. Provide a detailed proposal, specifications and drawings as required. (There are charges for sets of working drawings.) Set a start date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Numerous training courses by Schlüter Systems on the applications, specifications and installations of their various waterproofing, tile setting and radiant heat systems. Certified Master Fabricator of the major brands of solid surfacing materials. Author of editorial column covering homeowner repairs called Ask Jay in Berkshires Best. 42 years of on the job training.
