Introduction: I'll guide you with warmth, steadiness, and love through vinyasa sequences to help you experience how deepening your connection to your body and breath can strengthen your ability to embrace peace and presence.
Im consistently struck by the way asana practice can act as a rich metaphor for how we interact with life. The habits we carry in our posture and movement can reveal the pervasive dance of stability and flexibility, discipline and surrender, and courage and vulnerability happening in our own lives.
At a typical session, I'll guide you through a centering meditation to prepare you for movement, and asana will always be tailored to your specific physical needs. Depending on your age, condition, and activity level, a session might be dynamic and stability-building (yang-oriented) with each movement coordinated with breath, or more passive and mobility-building, geared toward joints, fascia and connective tissue with slower lengthy holds (yin-oriented). Both yin and yang are important components of a sustained home practice.
