Introduction: Hello! Thank you for looking at my profile. My name is Jacob Lamb, I'm a teacher and musician living in the greater Boston area and working full-time as an artist. I grew up in a musical home and began guitar lessons at the age of seven. Over the years I added piano, bass, drums, and ukulele to the instruments under my belt, eventually attending Berklee College of Music. I started teaching friends in 2013 and slowly began acquiring students from outside of my circles until I had a busy work schedule. Today I am blessed to still be teaching and playing music with others. I have two sponsorships from Revelation Cable Company and TempleAudio that I could not be more thankful for. Jacob is a very patient teacher, I feel proud of my learning with him. I am usually easily distracted, but he is helpful in reminding me what to do to stay focused. He gives a good balance of encouraging and pushing me! I would highly recommend him as someone who will make the challenging task of learning an instrument enjoyable and worthwhile.

Jacob is an all around quality individual who clearly has a passion to invest in those he comes in contact with! He is an exceptional and gifted musician and instructor. The students really connect with him and are motivated by his enthusiasm. And on top of it all, the guy can really play that guitar!! Some have a gift to play, some an ability to teach. Jacob has both! One last thing... He's also a genuinely nice guy! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a patient, passionate and exceptional music teacher to learn guitar, bass, piano and even beginner drums to experience a lesson with Jacob for themselves.

I always considered myself a mediocre guitar player; didn't know a single thing about it. I started taking lessons from Jacob a few months ago and not only have I learned a lot -- I had a great experience being Jacob's mentee. He wants you to succeed, teaches with encouragement and is a great spirit to be around. I highly recommend Jacob to anyone who wishes to become a better musician. And I say, "musician," not "instrumentalist," because there is so much more to playing music than playing the right notes. That's a lesson from the man himself.

Jacob is not only an incredible guy with a nice and warm personality, he is also incredibly talented in his craft. He is a skilled multi-instrumentalist who has a desire to continue to grow and hone his skills as a musician and teacher. You won't go wrong with Jacob.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $40 for a half-hour Skype session, and do offer a free trial.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to learn the music that a student is interested in. From there we can tackle our technique, theory, and playing by learning how these things fit into the songs they love! This makes the lesson more enjoyable and helps material stick better in the mind.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After years of lessons and performing, I began studying at Berklee College of Music studying songwriting and music production. I have now been teaching various ages and skill levels for seven years.
