- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our website lists prices for our products and their basic installation and required materials (e.g. pad for carpet, underlayment for floating floors, etc.). Additional services such as removal and disposal of existing floors, furniture and appliance handling, trims and transitions are additional. There is no such thing as FREE installation. It is in the price somewhere, we just choose to be transparent about it. Volume discounts are automatically applied to larger jobs starting at just 500 square feet.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a very consultative approach to flooring. Before we suggest any flooring, we like to learn about our customers, their goals, the other people (or furry people) in the house, etc.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in the retail sales side of the flooring industry for one of the nation's largest flooring companies. I quickly realized that bigger doesn't always mean better.
