I would never hire Paul again. He installed light switches upside down, when moving the light switch over a foot- cut out more drywall than necessary- did a horrible job repairing the drywall, I had him remove a doorknob and use the same knob on another door- and he claims the knob wouldn't work because door knobs are right handed or left handed- and he could not use the door knob for the new door because is was the wrong sided doorknob???- He needed supplies from Home Depot and I made four trips back and forth, because he instructed me to buy the wrong supplies- and I had to go back and forth to return the wrong items. One positive thing is that he was punctual- and stayed a full 8 hours. But he didn't do 8 hours of work. Based on the time it took the next repair person to fix everything Paul messed up- or had left undone- I believe the work Paul did shouldn't have taken more than 4 hours. And that's being generous. In the time he was at the house he did replace a kitchen faucet, corrected the water lines on an existing laundry room sink by switching hot to cold and vice versa. He adjusted the flow valve on a toilet and he installed one door knob properly. Reversing the hot and cold water lines, installing a doorknob and adjusting the flow valve shouldn't have taken more than an hour- which would have given him 3 hours to work on the kitchen sink. He worked the entire day in my house without his shirt- which was totally unprofessional. I keep my house at 75 degrees. (Oh- and I forgot to mention that he adjusted the toilet water level in the tank so low that- it corrected the problem of continuous flowing- but now I have to hold the handle down until the entire flush cycle or the toilet won't flush properly.) My initial list included installing a dead bolt- but he couldn't do that because he said he wasn't that good with carpentry- and in order to install a dead bolt he needed a predrilled door. He was also going to add two light switches in the garage and install a third door knob- but he ran out of time. I had to hire another person who repaired the damage Paul did to the wall, reverse the light switches that were installed upside down, installed one doorknob, installed the light switches in the garage, which included quite a bit on wiring work, and I reinstalled the doorknob that Paul installed backwards. Installing that doorknob took all of 10 minutes. The second person I hired did the work in half the time and charged me half what I paid Paul. I did contact Paul and told him I was unhappy with his work- and he wanted me to give him another chance to make things right. But I decided against allowing him back into my house because I feel I had already overpaid him for the work he did at my house and it was clear that he didn't know how to do electric work- which is the main thing I hired him to do- and it became clear that he didn't know how to do drywall work either. When he installed the kitchen sink- he told me that there was a piece missing from the box- and I made my final trip back to Home Depot- only to find out that the piece he told me missing was inside the handles. Oh- and when he was installing the doorknob backwards- he argued with me for 10 minutes- saying there was a part missing- and that I must have done something with it- but this was the same door knob that he had just removed- and eventually he found the missing part in his pocket. You get the picture. The day was a disaster. Paul did cut some branches off a few palm trees for me when he was here. He did a good job with that. I think Paul should stick to yard work.

Paul did a really nice job today removing and applying caulk around my tub. He was very pleasant and fast. I would definitely recommend and will use again in the future.

Paul installed my water heater today after a short communication by email. He was prompt, offered a great quote and arrived at the stated time. He even picked up the new heater from the store for a small fee. I do have hot water at this time and hopefully will not encounter any issues down the road. Thank you Paul. Susan
