Introduction: Russian- American trained pianist/ teacher welcomes new students of all ages and levels to her shoreline studio.
Bachelor of Arts in Classical Piano, Masters of Music Pedagogy (St.Petersburg, Russia/ New York, USA), a member of MTNA, Church of the Resurrection (Wallingford CT) piano/organ accompanist. Various teaching methods are used to suite the individual needs and abilities. Classical, Broadway, Pop, New Age, Improvisation.
Pre-reading and reading for very young children.
My piano studio is a warm, healthy environment that fosters creativity and love of music. It is a collaborative place where students play duets, ensembles, and have endless performance opportunities.
My students are at the center of my love of teaching.
I enjoy seeing students flourish, I'm delighted when students show progress. I am patient and sensitive to the individual needs and goals of every student. I do everything I can to help students to build their confidence and enjoy every aspect of the music exploration.

An excellent resource for those who want to learn piano from a friendly yet solid teacher. My son was Lena's student from the age of 6 until the ripe old age of 17 when he went off to college, and he is the richer for her teaching. Lena encourages her students to seek out music that they would like to learn and does not constrain them at all as long as they are willing to put in the effort. Consequently, a student can sample his or her ability to play classical, jazz and any other kind of music that will work on a piano. She is a dedicated teacher who is open to teaching students from any age group - at her annual concerts you can hear students ranging from the age of 5 to 60+, each playing with commitment. If I decided to to learn piano, I'd definitely follow my son's footsteps to Lena's studio!

My daughter has been a student of Elena's since 8 year old. She's now 14, and she continues to take piano lessons from Elena.
Elena has been an incredible teacher who not only has taught my daughter how to play piano, but how to love every note she plays. We will continue to learn with Elena and recommend that if you want to love an instrument, not just play it, you learn how to love from Elena.

Excellent teacher! Gentle, respectful, teaches her students not only to play, but to love and understand music. My three kids took classes there in the span of 10 years. Highly recommend!

Very professional and extremely talented. Elena is a patient and knowledgeable music educator - always encouraging and appropriately challenging me. She easily shares her extensive experience and skills plus her passion for the world of music. My lessons are fun and interesting. The piano music is varied and beautiful. Through her I am building confidence in my playing and learning so much!
