Introduction: For over ten years now, I have performed all kinds of unique ceremonies customized to the couple's desires! I make your wedding ceremony special to you, because you are the ones that count most. With a packet of ceremony suggestions and wedding readings and poems to share with the couples that contact me, I offer a starting point to think about what makes a ceremony meaningful to every couple. There are so many choices of ways to add to a wedding to meaningful to you. I'm very professional, all the while making the wedding couple feel at ease and the family and guests at the wedding feel they have just been witness to a most special occasion. Laughter, joy and a few tears of joy let me know I have done my job well. My base price is ($275) plus travel expenses if it is a long distance commute. I am very happy to talk to you about your vision of the ceremony and advise you on ways to make this the most special day ever, just give me a call. I absolutely love meeting couples beginning their lives together, helping them create a ceremony with deep meaning to themselves. I also enjoy being at the beginning of a marriage offering support and encouragement and getting to know the couple....I want to know the people at whose special day I am officiating!

Joanne met with us initially and made us feel very comfortable with the entire process. As we were planning, she was available when we had questions or concerns and responded promptly. She gave us suggestions on creating our own ceremony and reviewed our draft carefully to make sure that she could perform the ceremony exactly as we envisioned it. On the day of wedding, she arrived early enough to meet briefly with us and our wedding party to make sure all would run smoothly. She performed the ceremony beautifully; paying attention to all the important details to make sure our special day was perfect. From the moment we met Joanne, we felt comfortable and connected to her. She was professional and met with us to get to know us as a couple before we set anything up. After that. she was able to create a more personalized ceremony that really spoke to our union. We had her perform the ceremony in our house with only our immediate families. After that we had some champagne and hors d' oeuvres to celebrate. Joanne fit in like family! We couldn't have asked for anyone better to marry us.

Joanne was fantastic at making me and my now husband feel comfortable and relaxed during a time of pure craziness. She made our wedding much more memorable by project confidence, love and happiness. FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Base price is $250. for a local Danbury area ceremony, with additional costs based on ceremony location and the request for a rehearsal dinner attendance. Once a ceremony is decided upon, it is very complete and I don't feel it's necessary for me to be at the rehearsal but am happy to do so if the couple wants me there. I do arrive at the ceremony 20 minutes before the wedding for any last minute discussions with the bride and groom or the wedding party. I also calm nerves very well! I am a CT state appointed Justice of the Peace and so may perform weddings throughout Connecticut. Also an Ordained Minister, I do perform ceremonies outside Connecticut.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first have a phone chat to offer information, so the couple will see they feel comfortable with me. Then I work with clients online and/or in person to get to know them and their ceremony preferences. I want everyone to be pleased, comfortable and stress free the day of the wedding so this contact with the couple establishes an important rapport! I encourage my couples to feel free to ask any questions that come up, to feel free to contact me as often as they need. There truly is no such thing as a silly question. Anything that can done to give the couple some peace of mind on their big day is my goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a warm, outgoing person, love people, and I am a good communicator and speaker - all attributes important to performing weddings! Celebrating weddings since 2007, I am well versed in setting the tone for a beautiful ceremony.
