FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on the time of year, private dance lessons can run around $100 a session. Performance or hosting is typically $150-$300 (depending on the amount of time.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is first finding out if what his/her needs are and if I can meet them with excellence. I take pride in my work and I'm good at what I do. Whether it's private instruction for dance, performance or hosting, I can do the job well. I want to make sure they want the services I provide at a valuable rate. Then we set up our first appointment and usually I put together a contract or agreement with details of our exchange.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a dancer, I have been researching and dancing in the styles I teach for my entire life. I consistently seek new dance knowledge, take class on a regular basis and study with pioneers and innovators of the art form. I also have my own workout regiment to keep me in great health and shape. As a singer, I train vocally with a private coach of my own. I work on technique and performance with her weekly. I've had music training in school from 6th grade through college. As a teacher, I have participated in professional development sessions through the NYC Board of Education as well as within the private organizations I've worked for since 2005.
