Introduction: As a graduate of the ICM (Tel Aviv) and the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music I have played at various ensembles, adopting (and adapting to) many musical approaches and styles, including jazz, blues, rock, classical, and more. I have played at well known venues and festivals in New York, and around the world (Red Sea Jazz Festival, Williamsburg Music Center, Nublu), and with renowned artists such as Jimmy Cobb, Reggie Workman, Matt Wilson, to name a few. I currently lead a group that plays my original compositions, and play as a sideman in various projects, and one of my greatest joys in music is teaching.
I've taught both privately and in conservatories, since 2010. I teach students of all ages and levels. And my lessons are always personalized to each student's taste and learning tendencies.
My lessons include: fundamentals, developing a beautiful tone, reading, repertoire (jazz/pop/rock/classical/more), improvisation, ear training, composition, recital/audition preparation, and more.
I'm also always happy to assist you with buying/renting an instrument to start your journey with, and I have one spare alto saxophone that I can offer you until you get your hands on a horn.
I love working with people, finding out with a student how analogous music is to other art forms and other areas in life in general, and sharing the excitement of overcoming a challenge or doing something creative for the first time.
You're welcome to check out my website and contact me for more info.
Hope to hear from you,
