FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Service call labor is $120hr for the first hour with a 1 hour *minimum* and $120hr for each additional. Also I offer set pricing for the most common service calls that we get. Things like, replacing light fixtures & installing a cieling fan etc. I have a price list for these set price items that you can find on my website. For things like troubleshooting and the more complicated tasks I would quote at our hourly rate. Panel changes, service upgrades and bigger service jobs would get an estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After receiving your request I will reply with a quote. If you approve my quote you'll get a phone call from me where we will talk details about your project. I always prefer to come look at jobs but for the more simple projects we can often get a good idea of what needs to be done via phone conversation and pictures sent via email. You'll then receive a more official proposal from Element Electric and we'll get you on the schedule. After the work is completed we send you an email invoice with a payment portal. Our proposals, invoicing & billing are all done paperless. We also have secure mobile credit card readers that we can use in the field and accept checks. Our scheduling system is really smooth, you get email reminders before your appointment and a 10 minute warning before I arrive.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In the time I have been an electrician, I have worked in residential new construction, commercial, service work & as an electric vehicle charging station installer. I learned the trade with a combination of field training & classroom instruction.
