FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All work will be assessed and quoted at flat fee. not per hour. same price if the job takes less time. same price as if takes longer (provided additional findings are not in project to not take additional repairs)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
the most important part of meeting a new client is building they're trust. they are about to let you into they're home and at this point you are no more than a stranger to them. They need to feel that they are safe allowing you into they're home. knock/ring doorbell. introduce yourself professionally, hand them a business card with the required info, contacts, license#. I highly recommend you visit your Department of labor and industries website and pull up that contractors information that is streaming live on that page and will tell you info like if they're license is current, insurance is current or if they have any violations reported. The best you can do is look them up, then size them up. you have to ability to make good judgment and you have the ability to send them on they're way out if you are in fact not comfortable with any part of the interaction. do not be afraid to say no. don't pay for the same job twice and don't allow the event of liability in your home or on your property. Find the right guy first and save the pain of further damage & costs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a combined 13yrs in the construction and repair industry. I have been employed with both general construction companies as well as property maintenance companies. from small apartments to single family homes of all ages. I have been at the peak of the roof to army crawling under the home. I prize myself on diagnosis. its something I enjoy. if I cant prove to you that I have found the issue. I cannot prove toy you that I can fix it. I think this should be a very basic rule to follow for both contractor and client. lets make a plan that sounds right before anyone touches anything.
