FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I never charge the full amount until the job is finished. I may request a deposit in the amount of materials plus $100 from the labor cost. This is non refundable in the event the customer cancels the work with us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to schedule an in-home estimate. I do not have sample books to bring to the house, but I can have samples sent for free. Then I will write an estimate and email that over for the customer to review. Once the estimate is approved, we will schedule a time to do the install. We typically don't move furniture so I ask that the room is clear before installation.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My grandfather taught us how to lay tile. He was a mason when he came over from Italy and was very good at what he did. He did tile and stone work up until he was 84 years old.
