Introduction: We teach traditional Japanese Aikido in a family-style atmosphere without egos and competition.
Aikido is not a fighting system. It is a way to condition the mind and body. Aikido emphasizes 'soft power' by focusing on correct posture, stability, intent, and connection within ourselves and (by extension) our partners. Also important is the ability to have a relaxed body and mind, free of tension.
Aikido is the perfect martial art for people who are looking to better develop their mind, body and spirit, without the need for competitions and sparring.

We started a little over a year ago, my 14 yr old daughter and I. The reason for my push into Aikido was based on being a father to a beautiful little girl. I know the day will come when I can't be there to protect her and I would be ashamed as a father if something does happen and I didn't prepare her for it. This is the perfect art for her. The instructors teach with a tremendous up beat and positive attitude. It doesn't involve strength so no matter how small you are, you are not a victim. The awareness if gives to a young person is amazing in itself. I highly recommend anyone who wants a work out and wants to build awareness of their surroundings to give Aikido a try at Kimusubi. Simply the best in town.

Trained here for a number of years. Great experience and amazing people to train with. At kimusubi aikido I learned a great deal about conflict resolution and my own personal physical and internal strength.

Great instructors and very helpful senior students to help beginners. Everyone is polite, no negative attitudes. Instruction can accommodate a wide range of physical abilities and experience levels.

Outstanding Aikido training. The instructors are excellent and are genuinely concerned with your growth and development. I really enjoy training at Kimusubi Aikido Orlando. If you are looking for an Aikido dojo in Central Florida, I highly recommend Kimusubi!

If you're looking for a place to explore the essence of Japanese Martial Arts (Budo), one that isn't a gym, a boxing ring or makes pretenses about "being real" (because let's face it, a firearm beats an MMA fighter 100% of the time). But if you're interested in deep physical and spiritual growth with a supportive and lighthearted family that is committed to this pursuit, then this may be the place for you.
