Introduction: We love doing professional headshots and strive to make it as simple as possible for everyone. Our quickest and most economical option is our entry-level package, which is $150 for a 30-minute session (enough time for photographing in one outfit) at our studio (Tatum/Cave Creek Rd.) and licensing of one final image for personal/professional promotion. We can always tailor the shoot from there and add on time, images (just $50 each), etc. We love getting to know everyone we work with and drawing out personalities--especially important for headshots and portraits. It also makes it easier for us to create a photo that you’ll love. We deliver powerful lifestyle/adventure images and strong environmental portraits that capture the essence of a person and tell a story. Jim is am also a certified drone pilot and shoots aerial stills and video. This new frontier is particularly exciting.

I arranged to have professional head shots with Jim David and was not disappointed. The session was quick but yielded lots of good results. Jim and his team worked with me to narrow down the number of choices to focus on a couple high quality candidates. I was very pleased with the final shots I received less than a week later. My professional photos were about 6-7 years out of date, so I was in desperate need of a refresh! I now have two shots to put on my work profile and LinkedIn. Susan David also worked with me to go over my LinkedIn profile and made a comprehensive, prioritized set of recommendations to make my profile more effective. Each recommendation had solid direction and estimated time to completion, making it incredibly useful! I would highly recommend Jim David Photography to any professional if it's been even a few years since you've refreshed your head shot. Well worth it!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do so many different types of projects that pricing is customized, but whether you need images for a website or social media or an in-depth video to tell your story, we’d love to learn more about you and the stories that you want the world to know about. We provide high quality work--a great value for what you receive. For headshot clients, we have some great packages and also offer events several times a year throughout metro Phoenix. These events allow us to streamline and offer our best pricing packages. For those looking for a total image refresh, we also offer LinkedIn portfolio reviews. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For headshots/portraits 1. Let us know what you want and we’ll tell you what it takes to get it (time, budget, etc.). 2. Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll book your photo shoot and tell you how to prepare. 3. We’ll provide tips on what to wear and how to look your best and can hook you up if you want help with hair and makeup. 4. Whether you like having your picture taken or not, plan for a great experience—we specialize in making you look and feel great!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jim is a proud graduate of the Rocky Mountain School of Photography and an accepted member of the American Society of Media Photographers and the United States Association of Unmanned Aerial Videographers. Both Jim and Susan are professionals with a number of credentials and awards to back them up. Jim helps individuals and brands put their best foot forward visually. Even if you hate to have your photo taken, you will come away happy. From the studio to the board room to portraits on location, he loves getting to know each person he photographs and excels at drawing out personalities. Jim has earned two Emmy Awards for his motion work and is also an FAA-certified commercial drone pilot. Susan is Jim’s business partner and a writer, editor and public relations expert who has managed the reputations of Fortune 500 companies and nationally renowned nonprofit organizations. She has produced multiple award-winning videos and, in addition to managing the business and helping on shoots, she loves to shine the best light on individuals’ skills and experience with portfolio reviews and resume revamps.
