I hired CJ for a full kitchen remodel, involving updates to the layout and installation of a large glass tile wall, new cabinets, soapstone counters and oak shelving. I designed the concept and floor plan and CJ and his crew did a great job of executing the plans. CJ showed great attention to detail and quality in selecting materials and the results are beautiful - particularly the tile and stone. I work full-time and was not able to be present during much of the project but CJ and his crew took good care of my house; everything was kept clean and secure throughout the project and I was informed of progress and changes to plans. They were also great about accommodated my requests to secure open walls and work areas in the evenings for the safety of my cat. CJ was great to work with; I’d hire him again.Jul 2, 2018Verified
Hired CJ to do a remodeling project for us. Acted like we were working for him, rather than him working for us. Didn't take responsibility for anything (everything was everyone else's fault). Very toxic person to work with. On top of that, there were several issues with the workmanship, including a water supply line that was improperly installed, that burst and caused thousands of dollars in damage to the property (which of course he denied responsibility for). STAY AWAY.Jun 4, 2018Verified
CJ spent about an hour at our home reviewing the Master bathroom remodel he had some great ideas, but NEVER followed up with us. It's been almost 3 months now and he hasn't provided a quote or anything. If you don't want the job please don't waste other people's time be coming into their homes and saying you'll provide a quote when you don't. Very disappointing and unprofessional.Mar 14, 2018VerifiedCharles T.'s reply
Hi Lora, First I'd like to apologize you did not receive my proposal that I emailed to the address that was provided to me. We originally spoke on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 and we met the following Wednesday January 31, 2018 @ 630pm, your 3 month timeline is very inaccurate. I believe I spent more then an hour there as you had a prior engagement and your husband and I spoke for some time after you had left. Your time is equally as valuable as mine, I would not have spent so much time at your home to not send you a proposal. I advised you and your husband both that I will have the proposal for within two weeks. I can't speak for others but I am thorough when I work a proposal up like yours when it comes to moving plumbing around a bathroom like in a redesign and it takes me time to compete a drawing so you would be able to visualize your new layout. I also worked up a proposal to keep the existing layout except for downsizing the vanity sinks to 1. Being thorough with a proposal helps to minimize any unexpected cost to a customer. I like to allow the customer to have some time to look over my proposal as I was also advised you'd be receiving several quotes over the next couple weeks. I always invite someone to contact me if they have any concerns; all of my contact information is on my business card I left with you. My only regret is that you didn't reach out me sooner so I could have addressed this concern.
CJ is the ultimate professional! He demonstrates ideas that are genius! He understands building relationships not just being hired. I'm looking forward to a long relationship of working w CJ!Sep 28, 2017Verified

Hi Morgan, we spoke briefly through a message and I sent you time stamped photos of the time I was at your house to show I was there at the time we agreed upon. I apologize for the miscommunication and wish you the best of luck with your build!
