Introduction: I've got an answer that works. Here's the story: I started out teaching students using a simple ACT study guide that gave great strategies on how to ACE the ACT. However I had a student decide to take my course twice, so I didn't want to give the same material again. Instead I had to change it up. Since all of my students are unique with their own interests and abilities, I created a course that fit those unique situations. This course takes the study guide to a new level and applies the strategies to what each student is interested in and can be adapted to their school work as well. The student who took my course twice was able to earn a $10,000 scholarship to college even though he took the ACT in June after he graduated from high school. That where my new and improved ACT course came to be! Hi. My name is Stena Schmitt and I have been tutoring high students how to ACE the ACT for about 5 years now. I started teaching special education in the school system in 2004 in South Dakota. Since then I have taught in three different states during my teaching career including South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa. You can BENEFIT from THIS EXPERIENCE for these THREE REASONS. Why I don't use cookie cutter teaching methods and you shouldn't either (Students are unique individuals that require a unique approach to their interests and abilities.) When to use a textbook and not get BORED!!!!(I teach students how to apply strategies from a study guide to their interests and schoolwork.) How to engage students by analyzing assessments (I create a course that fit each students' needs based on test scores.)

My son Nick has been working with Stena for most of this academic year. I appreciate that she incorporates his HW questions and other assignments into the tutoring session. This has relieved his anxiety over his school work quite a bit.
Saints Training and Tutoring's reply
Thank you so much Jenny O. Nick is a great student to work with.

I fully endorse Stena Schmitt for any tutoring needs you may have. As a parent of a current 7th grader who struggles with math, we have used Ms. Stena for over two years with face-to-face tutoring as well as tutoring over a web platform from 750 miles away! Ms. Stena uses an immersive and structured tutoring style that is tailor-made for every child she tutors, and she is well-versed with national COMMON CORE standards. She is also a screener for IRLEN SYNDROME, a visual processing disorder. Once my daughter was screened and diagnosed, my daughter now wears special spectral lenses/glasses that have alleviated her constant headaches as well as allowed her brain to process data and learn in a more conducive method. I fully recommend Ms. Stena Schmitt for any tutoring or training needs. I am confident that you will be pleased with her teaching talents and dedication to her students.
