FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I do have a standard pricing system for my services. In general, depending on the number hours a week, the type of tutoring provided, and the location, my fee is between 35-50 per hour. The rate depends on the services needed, the distance traveled, and the number of hours per week.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Hi. My typical process for working with a new customer starts with an initial conversation where they talk to me about where they're at and what they need. We do this by email or by phone - whatever the customer prefers. The next step is to meet and at that time I can assess the skills that the customer feels they need help with, such as writing. The next step is that I make a plan, with the input of the customer as to how they can make academic strides. Then we decide on the time and place that works best, and then, of course we get started!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In addition, I have experience teaching students who have English as their second language. I have extensive experience teaching all genres of writing. I've taught Advanced Placement Language and Composition as well as AP Literature and Composition, as well as SAT/ACT essay writing. I also have extensive experience teaching English, and that includes analysis, critical reading, grammar, vocab, and all other facets of English instruction. I teach an intensive SAT Prep camp in the summer to international students. Finally, I do private tutoring, both with struggling and with high performing students.
