FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard minimum professional fee for each type of photography: portraits, special events and weddings. The fees are based on the time required (how many hours), the equipment required, and travel if beyond 75 miles. After working with the customer, I can always work up a "package" price for their event.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to have a conversation with my customer, either by phone or in person, to discuss their desires for the results of my photography. I make sure I have a list of "must have" photographs such as photos of the bride with all her aunts, the groom with his college friends and the grandparents with the grandchildren. At the event, I use that list to make certain I don't miss any client requested images. Otherwise, I continue to shoot for great candid moments that will make wonderful memories for the couple.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Master of Fine Arts degree in photography is from the University of Delaware. Also, I have over 25 years of experience shooting weddings, portraits and special events. I've been an adjunct instructor of photography at the University of Delaware, Cecil College and Delaware Tech.
