The crew showed up on time and finished the job in the time frame that was in the contract. Very professional and respectful, they stayed in our budget while giving us exactly what we wanted would recommend them to any one for a custom deck.

Answered my request in a timely manner, The owner was real nice as was the crew who came in to do the roof. They had my roof completely stripped off to the bare wood removed all trash and debris and had the new roof on all in one day. Very fascinating and exciting to watch. We love our new roof it gives our house so much more character.

Being a repeat customer says it all. When we wanted to put a Trellis/Pergola on an existing deck the first person I called was Tovar Construction. Troy constructed the original deck and we worked with him to add the Trellis/Pergola to the deck and architecturally blend it in so it does not look like an afterthought. Troy hit this one out of the park! I was blown away by the detail of their exceptional craftsmanship. Not only that, but they started when they said they would start and finished when they said they would finish. They cleaned up before they left. Troy’s prices may be slightly higher than the 2 guys in a white unmarked van but you will not get the top-notch quality and detail you get from Tovar Construction. Just like anything in life, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend Tovar Construction Inc.

The work was great. Everything was done quickly and very nice HOWEVER Rebecca is an absolute terror. Worst ‘professional’ Ever. She charged me an extra $100 because she had to drive to my house on 4 occasions. Twice for quotes (which are supposed to be free), once for the actual work to be done and once bc she decided to come to my house to see if I wanted their services (at the time, I did not), and an increase in dump fees. When I asked her about the extra cost, she came to my home SCREAMING at me and was extremely rude. She was under the impression I wasn’t going to pay — which I assured her I was, I just asked about the extra charge. I mean this woman was hysterical and would not listen. She even told me she didn’t care if I left a bad review. She’s the only bad thing about this company. She was constantly late and making excuses about her kids as to why she would show up late - if at all. I would NEVER recommend Tovar to anyone just bc I wouldn’t want anyone to have to deal with her.

This is not true she told us she hired someone else they then flaked on her and she called me to come in and do the project and yes I charged her extra for dump fee because she had someone come and tear her trellis down and thought I was going to be responsible for taking away some other contractors trash and she text me and said I don't I is why I have to pay extra only after the job was completed did she say that so I did go around back and tell my guys to stop work and yes we had a discussion but who wouldn't with a client like that. I was called in after she told me she paid someone to do the job and then expected me to come in and finish it and take away someone less debris. So if that makes tovar bad that is completely fine I do not wish anyone to do a job for her becaus at the end she will come up and say that she dosent think she has to pay that price. I went in and apologized to her face and showed her some more rotted wood and even secured what was part of the job. So I apologized for getting loud with her but only after she stated in a text message that she said she didn't think she should have to pay for me to take someone else's trash

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We try to stay in the budget of the homeowner as much as possible.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We send a quote , meet the client, sign the contract and get the job done as quick and professional as possible. There is a no cancellation policy on all signed contracts this is to protect tovar from customer signing and then backing out. We charge a cancellation fee of 550.00 for any cancellations after contract has been signed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
we have been doing custom Decks, screened porches, and all outdoor living spaces since 1992. We are a general contractor with a licensed and a specitaly in residential roofing.
