FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically meet up for a free 30 minute trial to gauge where a student is at and talk about goals and expectations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar for fifteen years and bass for twenty. I have a minor in music from the University of Rochester, which included six semesters of Jazz bass instruction at the Eastman School of Music and four semesters of music theory. I have also been an afterschool teacher, curriculum enrichment instructor, and camp counselor for many years and have received dozens of hours of training in classroom management, working with diverse learners, and curriculum development
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began teaching guitar in 2007 after graduating college to supplement my income. I have since taught independently and through School of Rock. I enjoy teaching lessons part time so that I am able to maintain a high level of energy and engagement for all of my students without burning out.
