I’ve always been fascinated by the violin. The moment I could muster up enough courage to take classes, I was extremely dedicated, however, not knowing anything about instruments and being an absolute beginner in playing one, it was always a challenge to find a teacher who could match my excitement and interest. When I met Kal, I felt that he had a genuine desire, not just to teach me how to play the violin, but to help me understand music as a whole; to incorporate all musical notes into my life through our lessons. Taking up an instrument can be such an intimidating task, but it is not at all impossible! With Kal as my teacher, in just a few months, I found myself reading music, playing to rhythms, listening to notes and recognizing them (and playing solely by listening to notes!) - basically, I found myself learning music, wholly, something that no other teacher had ever managed to take me through. Thanks to Kal, I can pick up my violin, tune myself, and just…play. His love for music is palpable and quite easily transferable; his dedication is outstanding, and his help has been truly invaluable.

An amazing teacher! Kal always took the time to make sure I truly understood techniques and silently suffered through my countless screeching renditions of "Mary had a little lamb" .
