FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a flat fee for family law cases that are uncontested. Any flat fees are non-refundable and are considered earned once paid. If, however, an uncontested case becomes contested, the flat fee is converted into a retainer and an hourly rate is charged. For contested cases, an hourly rate is charged. A retainer would be requested and the hourly rate is billed against the retainer. The amount of the retainer will depend upon the scope and complexity of the issues of your case.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free initial consultation so that we can discuss the details of your case and discuss your options.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Prior to returning to school for my law degree, I gained extensive experience as a paralegal in various areas of law. I attended the University of South Florida where I obtained a B.A. in History. I then attended Stetson University College of Law where I obtained my law degree. I'm admitted to the Family Law Division of the Florida Bar. I am also a member of the Clearwater Bar Association and the Canakaris American Inn of Court.
