- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When it comes to pricing, I always want potential customers to remember that I do what I do to earn a living. When I come before you to present a talk or training event I have spent many hours and often days preparing what I will deliver to you. When I do an event I do it with the expectation of bringing VALUE to your organization.

- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been doing public speaking since I was a teenager. My skills have been fine-tuned in virtually every job I have had. I have always used my communication skills. From writing news copy to hosting a talk show to later becoming a certified HR trainer for a state agency I have been "conveying some sort of message." HR Training and motivational speaking became my primary vocation about twenty years ago when my then employer asked me to coordinate a senior staff retreat. We brought in an outside trainer. As the retreat went on I observed the trainer and kept thinking, "I'd like to do something like this." When the retreat was over my executive director asked me how I liked it and I said, "I LOVED IT!" He told he was so happy because he wanted me to get certified to present the same type of training to our entire organization. I knew I had found my calling.
