About

Flexibility is key for me and most parents. I took a job and fought for the hours so I could remain available to parents of students starting around 4pm several days a week (currently Mon/Wed). I also travel to homes. There is a possibility of Thursday and Saturday if I have enough students to justify a large block of time on my days off of a regular 40 hour week. Trumpet Lessons are a part of my original JdMac Creative (photography and music) Services on Thumbtack. You can simply view the main page for all information and reviews. Please search for Photographer in ThumbTack if you reached this page and were expecting photography (JdMac Creative). Thank you! Many of my Trumpet students used to travel to Franklin, TN to Shuff's Music. I have now moved to Commerce, GA 30529 in 2019!! Additionally, I travel to individual's homes for an adjusted rate to cover travel and dining expenses within a 30-mile radius. A Google calendar is available (sent to your email) to view open lesson times and locations, and the updates can be seen as lesson times begin to be filled for this school year. For years I used the technical side of the brain for xerographic repair and service of copiers and printers. Now I get to follow a passion to help the younger generation develop a lifetime love of music and participation with others.

David is a wonderful teacher. My son enjoys the lessons and his skill playing the trumpet has increased greatly. I would highly recomend JdMac.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Normally I charge $30/half hour at the music store (Shuff's Music) in Franklin TN. (Usually on Monday and Weds beginning at 4pm). If I receive payment for 4 weekly lessons in advance I will reduce the price to $110. Prices in the home start at $45 to $60 depending on the day, distance, duration and having to purchase a meal before I go home from my regular day job. I purposefully chose a job that allows me the flexibility to start lessons at 4pm for the parent's sake, which could aid in reducing the parent's stress of driving to a store and being a taxi driver for all the kids when I can possibly come to your home to teach at some point.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson I take an extra 15 minutes to get acquainted at no extra charge. You pay per lesson until you and your student are comfortable to continue and set a weekly schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Belmont University Bachelor of Arts - Commercial Music Emphasis/Principal Trumpet 1983 Besides teaching at Shuff's Music in Franklin Tn. I have played or subbed in Professional and Community Bands, Church Orchestras or Worship Teams or recorded on demos or CD projects. 5 Points Swing Band The Chill Band The 1969 Band Williamson County Community Band The Merchants of Cool S.O.S.
