- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We set up an appointment with our customers to meet with, Windy, our design expert. In that first meeting, they discuss the wants and the needs of the customer. From there, we go to the clients house to take measurements; and then a 3D custom design is worked out accordingly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The team at Lyndan Designs are all educated and trained according to their field. Windy is a graduate from Seton Hill University and has continued to update her knowledge of kitchen design over the years. Zach, Windy's brother, attended the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. He is knowledgeable in every aspect of the business. He does all of our machine programming and keeps up with the latest in technology so Lyndan Designs stays abundantly efficient. Dan is their father and founder of Lyndan Designs. He is a United States veteran and attended the University of Pittsburgh and has a degree in mechanical engineering and business. Alexandra is the wife of Zach and has been with the company for 10 years. She completes all of the custom furniture finishing; taught to her by both Zach and Dan. Linda is the head of the accounting department and is both Windy and Zach's mom and married to Dan
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Dan founded the business in 1984 with the intent to provide a generational business for his children.
