Introduction: Do you love painting (in acrylic) or wish you could? Have I got the classes for you! You'll learn real techniques that allow you to paint anything and have fun doing it... Regardless of your skill level. When I paint, I lose myself. It's such a joy. When my students paint with me, their real world problems disappear. Jenae gets 5 stars across the board!!! She is very awesome. First, she provides the lessons in her home, a very warm and relaxing environment. She has the entire setup designed around painting — she is a true professional and is always prepared for the lessons. Not only is a fantastic artist but, and this part is really important, she’s an excellent teacher. I started painting over 20 years ago and dabbled over the years but had mostly forgotten everything I knew. No worries! Jenae starts you with the basics and each lesson builds on the previous. I have no doubt that I will be able to paint again like I used to (and even better). Sometimes there are a couple of other students sometimes it’s just you and Jenae...just depends on everyone’s schedule. And she is flexible. You purchase the sessions and you go when you can (but let her know!!) according to your schedule. And finally, you really CAN’T beat the price for what you get in return. The warmth, the learning, the time, the art supplies...the COMPLETE experience. If you’re thinking about learning how to paint there is no doubt you should learn from Jenae!!

I recently started acrylic painting classes with Jenae Rubin. I have painted before but not acrylic. She is an amazing teacher! Very knowledgeable, patient and guides with an easy teaching style. I really enjoyed my experience painting especially since I've never painted anything except all wall before. It started out looking a mess (I'm hard on myself) and Jenae kept reminding me to trust the process. Having someone walk me through something like this was an eye opening experience about myself and it was truly delightful. I'm happy I took the time to explore my artistic side, and I look forward to more opportunities to work with Jenae!

Jenae’s painting classes are helping me achieve my goal of being a real artist based on the techniques she teaches and the freedom to paint what I want. I am learning the importance of composition, and how to paint realistically, which is what I want. In addition to learning, I thoroughly enjoy working in her studio; her classes are fun and lively... and an amazing place to be. And to top it off, I won a large scholarship and two recognition awards at a show!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Beginner Workshop - Four 3-hour sessions. All materials provided (paints, brushes, canvases, etc). $195 Intermediate / Advanced sessions - Five 3-hour classes. You provide materials (I give you supply list, so you know what to bring.) $195
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out what you want to accomplish, and then I work with you to get that! It's all about you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Look at my work! College courses. Ongoing weeklong workshop retreats. Constantly learning and growing so I can pass that knowledge onto you.
