Introduction: I offer puppy private and group sessions with AKC Star Puppy, obedience, socialization, and all levels of CGC Testing and Classes. There are obedience and socialization classes for the adult dog too! I currently provide Nose work and scent/detection private, group, and online lessons! I also do boarding and training for dogs!

Ive earned taught and earned titles in obedience, therapy work,nose work, search and rescue, lure coursing, and dock diving.
I love seeing the light bulb moments, where both the dog and the handler 'click' and move forward. I love to 'fix' problems. Help owners learn how to properly raise and train their dogs and puppies. I love seeing improvement in the dogs and their owners from session to session. I love to help shy or timid dogs! The confidence improvement in more timid dogs and the joy in the owner as they watch their dog problem solve, gain confidence, and decrease their fears. I love to help owners build the bond with their companions and learn to understand their canine companions.
I also love to help fix 'problems' jumping up, pulling on the leash, patience, techniques, and teaching you and your dog how to work together instead of fighting one another.
Nosework is a wonderful sport that is similar to detection work for drugs or bomb detection. The dogs are trained to find 'novel' odors such as birch oil. It is then our job as handlers/owners to learn to read/understand when they have scent and to read their 'alert' or 'it's here!' to us! It is a game that you and your dog will love. You get to search vehicles (think cars, tractors, even zamboni's!), containers (boxes, paint cans, luggage!), interiors (schools, cabins, even baseball stadiums!), and exteriors (campgrounds, 4H camps, and colleges) in your search for these 'scent's'.
Nosework exercises your dog both mentally and physically. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs who are shy, timid, or lack confidence can become more confident. The dog learns to overcome environmental issues because he enjoys hunting for odor, he enjoys the reward and party at the end, and he learns to problem solve on his own and gain confidence in himself!
