About this pro

How does your service stand out?

Wedding ceremonies are personalized, not one size fits all. Each couple has their own history and hopes, and their wedding or commitment, or even vow renewal ceremonies express and celebrate what is most precious to them. I help them create that ceremony. I am a trained spiritual director/spiritual counselor/spiritual coach, and have worked with individuals seeking to deepen their spiritual lives so that they will be happier and relate better in this life. Different than therapy or psychological counseling, spiritual counseling addresses the inner life of the spirit.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I am an ordained Celtic Christian priest and have worked with couples for the past 20 years helping them to express their love and commitment in the wedding ceremony they create. I believe that God IS Love, and I celebrate the love that brings couples together. It's a joy to offer couples choices and ways to help them create a beautiful ceremony. As a trained spiritual counselor/director/coach, my joy is to assist others as they deepen their own spiritual lives and find that sharing that with those they love is what brings peace in this life.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new couple contacts me we can communicate via e-mail or telephone as they wish. We can set a time and place to meet to discuss the type of ceremony they would like. I then tailor the actual service to their particular preference.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began officiating at weddings after my ordination in 1997.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Religious and non-religious, straight and same gender.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the priest or minister is respectful of your spirituality, and honors you by assuring you this ceremony is YOURS, not his or hers!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Are wedding officiants open to the various religious beliefs of couples or are they inclined to force their beliefs into the ceremony. This is important! You deserve respect.
