Corey Silverman-Lloyd

Introduction: I have experience in both coaching and in personal training. I have been training boys and girls individually from ages 7 to 15 for the past couple of years, ranging from kids who are just starting out to more experienced basketball players. I also have experience coaching at basketball camps run by Windward School as well as experience assistant coaching for both JV and varsity teams at Windward School. I am open to coaching all ages. I was a four-year varsity basketball player at Windward School in Los Angeles in high school where I won a CIF regional championship in 2015. As a result of being located in Southern California as well as being a part of the challenging Gold Coast League, we played some of the toughest competition in the country each year. I was a three-year starter, earning a spot on the First Team Gold Coast League my senior season. I was also awarded the Matthew Shreck Leadership Award my senior year for outstanding athletic leadership at my school. My sessions always have a heavy emphasis on the essential fundamentals of basketball. Before I get into shooting any three-pointers or doing five dribble moves at a time with my athletes, I will make sure that the basics are mastered first, such as all types of footwork, offhand layups, correct shooting form, defensive fundamentals, and more. Over time, as the athlete begins to become more adept in these essential fundamentals, we will move on to more complicated ball-handling, long-distance shooting, improving court vision and court sense, in-depth defensive strategy, and more.
