Introduction: My goal as a massage therapist is to create a customized and unique massage experience that is both therapeutic and relaxing. By blending deep tissue techniques with Swedish and Lomi Lomi strokes I am able to provide relief from muscle tension with as little discomfort as possible. I was drawn to massage by an overpowering desire to improve people's lives. I enjoy seeing the progress my clients make from session to session and strive to achieve a "maintenance massage" level where one session every 3-4 weeks will keep them mostly symptom free.

Terry is the best massage therapist I've ever been to. I am a working dental hygienist and I swear by him I couldn't practice without our visits every other week. The atmosphere of our session is always professional and comfortable. He is so knowledgeable and is great at deep tissue and regular relaxation Swedish massages as well. I have had both (for those times when you just want to relax and not therapeutic deep tissue). The price is beyond reasonable and worth every penny!

Terry is a remarkable massage therapist. I would swear he has magic sensors in his fingers that pinpoint exactly where the issues are, but do know that his skill is due to extensive training and an innate empathy with his clients. I started seeing him several months ago due to a chronic neck issue from a whiplash incident last year. Driving, sleeping, and most daily activities were hampered due to pain and a very limited range of motion. Treatment progressed at just the right pace. My range of motion has been restored. Plus, the previously low functioning muscles are regaining strength with the wider range. He has also helped conquer limiting or pain issues in other areas as I have become more active (and find out I'm not 20 anymore!). I travel frequently, yet he can pinpoint exactly the problem areas when I return. Amazing. His completely tidy space, professional demeanor and total concentration are additional attributes. I am so fortunate to have found him.

Terry Allen is as gifted as he is passionate about his patients' wellbeing. Just like a master musician's sense of hearing, Terry's sense of touch is refined. He takes anatomical information through his hands and follows where it leads him. After shoulder surgery, my arm went bad and doctors recommended fusing bones in my neck. After one massage, I was 90% better; after theee...healed. My doctor and my PT didn't believe me. Believe me! (I recommend Terry for children also--including those with special needs!) Terry Allen is truly a gifted massage therapist, able to calm and smooth out very tight muscles without bruising. He is professional, well trained, tailors his methods to whatever is needed for each session, and an all around nice guy. I highly recommend him.

I've had unexplained back issues since my teens. After 20 years of failed physical therapy and varied doctor visits, I have found someone who can actually give me relief and keep me mobile. Terry has a special gift that seems to be innate. He is obviously very passionate about his work. Very easy to talk with, and explains the situation in regular person terms. The space is comfy and quiet. A lot of attention paid to detail. If I could give 10 stars I would. A true gift!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. My pricing is very simple and straight forward. I don't offer "package" deals. I keep my rates lower than average, so that my clients can afford the services they want, when they want them. My in-office rate is $50.00 per 60 min. session and $75.00 per 90 min. Out call rates are $80 per 60 and $110 per 90. Depending on travel times the out call rates can very $10 in either direction.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin by having a detailed conversation about their expectations for the bodywork session. This conversation includes the overall nature of the session, (i.e.Pain management/accident recovery, Pre-event sports, Relaxation, etc.) pressure preferences, injury and accident history and areas of focus. Any of the client's concerns are addressed during this initial interview process. I will then exit the room instructing the client to undress to their level of comfort and lay face up/down on the table under the sheets and blanket. After sufficient time, I will then return to the room and begin the bodywork session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Georgia Massage School where I studied under massage legends Rick Garbowski and Laurie Craig. GMS is widely regarded as the premier Medical/Clinical massage school in the country and the only massage school in the nation to have two American Massage Therapy Association Teacher of the Year award winners teaching under one roof! Since graduating I have furthered my education and knowledge by becoming a certified Myoskeletal Alignment and Neil Asher Trigger Point Technique Massage Therapist, as well as a certified Lomi Lomi practitioner.
