Introduction: Hi! We are a small family owned and operated riding and boarding facility with 20+ years experience in horse care and riding instruction. We cater to all ages of beginner to intermediate levels of riders. Come learn about horse care and riding or improve your confidence and riding skills!
About the instructor:
Sarah has spent the majority of her lifetime with and around horses in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Her career in riding instruction started in the late 90’s after a childhood full of lessons and showing hunt seat in the Chesapeake area of VA. Soon after, her career took her to the Pungo area of Virginia Beach where she continued to ride, teach, and coach at shows for several barns. In 2016, Sarah and her family moved to the Currituck area of NC and created what is now Hooter Farm.

So happy with the excellence we receive at Hooter Farm. Sarah is compassionate, fair and thorough about her teaching and we couldn't ask for better instruction for our daughter.

My almost 5 year old son loves taking lessons with Sarah. He can be quite the handful sometimes and she really knows how to deal with him when he doesn’t want to listen. He is learning so much from her not only about riding but also about brushing and cleaning the hooves etc. Sarah has all of these little exercises and tricks to get him comfortable on the saddle when the horse is not only walking but also trotting. He’s come really far in a short amount of time because of it. All of the horses are so sweet and my son can just run up to them and hug them and they never object. Definitely would recommend Sarah for lessons for anyone and especially for young beginner children!
