I have been tutoring in the Dayton Area for over 10 years. I have tutored for the ACT Test for over 7 years and have personally taken the ACT test 20 times. In addition to creating ACT Test Prep Strategies, I have also developed specific programs for students struggling with organization and test anxiety. ACT Test Prep Program: Standardized testing assumes that every student is standard. As professional educators, we know that isn’t true. These tests frustrate students, teachers, counselors and especially, parents! Our program is unique because it is based on my personal experience taking the ACT. It is a one-on-one program focusing on each student’s strengths and weaknesses. I have developed unique ACT Strategies for each section of the test. We prepare students for the ACT Test with practice sessions implementing these strategies. We take the stress out of the ACTs while building confidence! We are committed to helping our students achieve their personal best. College Essay Assistance: Our goal is to help students write an essay that shares their unique personality, background and interests. An essay that will stand out from the crowd and get them noticed! Overcoming Test Anxiety Program: A high level of test anxiety can actually impair learning and hurt test performance. We offer a customized set of proven techniques to help students conquer test anxiety. Homework Assistance: We are here to help parents spend less time worrying and arguing and more time enjoying their families. Tutoring in K-12 English / Reading / Writing: We don't just administer worksheets for students to complete, we interact with them, discover their interests, and customize a program that will make learning FUN! Student Organization & Study Skills: We assess each student’s unique needs and set up a personalized organizational system to prepare them for Middle School, High School and College. I love working with students and helping them succeed and reach their academic goals!
