FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing will never change unless a change order is submitted during the project. There will never be any unexpected charges or fees that will need to be paid. Whatever the price is on the quote will be the same price you will pay at the time of completion.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To find out the customers end goal for their project. What exactly they’re wanting to have done. Once I get that information, I like to have as many details as I possibly can. There are lots to take into consideration trying to quote a project for someone that you know nothing about and have never laid eyes on anything about the project. Pricing depends on lots of factors and pros need as many details as possible to be able to produce the best price quote. Before I send a quote, there are a series of need to know questions that I will ask the customer so I can try to visualize their goals and the jobsite as to what is needed and how much of what is needed and what hoops need to be jumped through to make it all happen for them at a very competitive rate. My experiences so far are I start off by asking questions with need to know answers and most customers I have tried to do this with have failed to ever respond back and answer the 4 or 5 questions I asked them so I can produce a quote for them. There is simply not near enough detailed information in the notification sent to the pro in order to produce a solid number quote that the pro can stick to. Questions need to be asked and answered and job site surveys need to take place in order to give the customer a fair and solid price.
