Introduction: Before I worked in advertising, I was a middle school teacher. I taught 6th and 8th grade and loved the challenge of keeping my students interested and learning. I rewrote the curriculum and then rewrote the textbook. Every job I had after - management consultant, instructional designer, trainer - the parts I loved involved the writing and coming up with creative ideas.
I get paid to think up cool stuff pretty much every day. It's my job to find a way to break through the noise, get your attention and give you something worthwhile in exchange for your attention - a laugh, a new way of seeing something, a challenge, an honest moment, and hopefully a reaction.
