Introduction: I am friendly and patient to students of all levels, and creative to adapt to a multitude of student learning abilities and musical styles on multiple instruments (flute, piccolo, clarinet, saxophone, piano, organ, others). A yearly recital along with other performance opportunities throughout the year encourage students to share their talents and efforts in an encouraging atmosphere. Group music classes and performing ensembles are also offered for students to have the experience of playing with others. - I also perform on all the above instruments for churches, weddings, receptions, musicals, and a variety of other venues. I love working with people to help them be creative and have fun while making music! My students have been a huge source of joy to me over my 26 year career as a music teacher and performer. I look forward to helping others achieve their musical goals and dreams!

I began taking private lessons with Mrs. Johnson when I was in middle school. Before taking lessons with her, I could play a few songs on the flute, namely Mary had a Little Lamb. My technique was horrible but Mrs. Johnson never lacked patience. She faithfully guided me and challenged me to become a better player. She kept me accountable and would encourage me as I met another goal. We worked together for probably about eight years and I can honestly say Mrs. Johnson was more than just a music teacher, she was a friend. She made me into the player I am today. In a world that wants instant results, Mrs. Johnson helped me recognize the value of hard work. I loved my lessons with Mrs. Johnson and I am thankful for her tutelage.

Miss Sarah, it was an honor to work with you in achieving your musical goals! I enjoyed watching you grow from a beginner on flute to someone who earned many musical honors and solos on her instrument along with your accomplishments as an adult. Thank you for sharing those fun years with me! - Mrs. J

Pam has the patience of a saint. My 4 kids all took lessons from Pam for flute sax and piano from 4th grade thru hs. She is a wonderful teacher and I have seen many kids have great success with Pam as an instructor and cheerleader! Couldn't have asked for a better music teacher.

Thank you, Kathy. It was a privilege to teach your children from beginner through high school levels and to have your family as clients for over 12 years! I enjoyed seeing them advance on multi-instruments. :)
